Tumble accidents tend to increase with age; workers aged fifty and over suffer from death and injury due to tumbles at a rate seven times greater than that in workers in their twenties.
The growing rate of injuries from tumbles concomitant with age is related to decreased balance, muscle function, and other physical function.
